I just got my first egg yesterday from 1 of 3 ee,s that were born on sept 11/09. It was a small blue green egg, the kids had it in the frying pan before you could say
That white one I have is also my daughters favorite ( hazel) she says she has angel wings. Thanks all for the pictures of the white EE. I,m now shure this is what I have. She Shure stands out in the coop she does
Here,s what I ordered, could it be one of the easter eggers with totally white wings:jumpy oops I,m not shure if I should have gave out all that info somebody help if I did bad, I have omited the order on good advice
I think I figured out the pictue thing but what kind of bird is this. I will try to upload my order details from ideal hatchery so somebody can have an educated guess
I also bought some of the buff orphingtons. I went through ideal hatchery standard breeds and ordered a variety of standards to see what I would wind up liking the best. I had only purchaced roos in the bramahs and giants though. Roos get much bigger than do hens right. I,m new to raising them.
If you look on e-bay you can find aviary netting in the poultry supplies area really reasonable. That would protect them and you if ya made a run for them. The paranoia of attack is nothing to live with!
dont temp me , I have considered that but the eggs are quite expensive and i,m not shure if our locals, gov etc would like to see it running around if it ever got out. you people are a ball on here:lol:
thanks, all I bought some gersey giants and light bramahs from ideal hatchery on 9/9/09 and I see I had made the right choices of breed. I hope they get 3ft tall like that one you have, the hawks around here will think twice about swooping into my 20x50 run for a taste
I also bought from ideal with a ship date of 9/9/09 and the e-mailed me the day of the 9th saying they had shipped. out of 37 shipped I only lost 3 within the first week. due to what looked like a respitory problem. They refunded promptly and the rest are doing great.
