Turkey eggs on day 29, need help one still alive

Hi there, so I've got a few eggs, all I have been candling the last two days because they haven't been moving around anymore and 2 look to be dead after a ton of movement for 3 days. 1 remening is still alive and is peeping but only if I nudge the egg or candle. It was moving a bunch a couple...

Can you eat the eggs immediately if you used Piperazine?????

Just curious as I'm getting ready to use Pig Swig with my flock, have you found it necessary to follow up after 7 days? Or do you do it just as a preventative?

    Incubating turkey eggs

Okay, I am working on trying to lower my humidity now. I myself am practically at sea level, like 33 feet lol.

    Incubating turkey eggs

I've got 4 turkey eggs in the bator to test things out but I have seen a couple varying opinions and not finding anything in my turkey book. What's the proper humidity for turkey eggs? I know for chicken eggs you want between 50-65% until pipping is that not recommended for turkey eggs? I've got...

New to turkeys...a couple nesting questions.

So I found this thread that helped answer that staggering question. I think I'll be fine if I add the turkey eggs after the chicken eggs since I've got 2 bators I can use one as the hatching bator at lockdown time. https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/214533/incubatin-chicken-and-turkey-eggs-together

New to turkeys...a couple nesting questions.

I've not yet tried to rotate hatches in the same incubator, how difficult would it be to hatch chickens and turkeys together? I just put the chicken eggs in yesterday. I know that turkeys take about 4 days longer than chickens.

New to turkeys...a couple nesting questions.

This is their first clutch of eggs I believe so I wanna give them the chance to set. :-)

Thanks, yes I know how to tell if they're fertile by cracking them, but that doesn't do me much good to then incubate them lol. Thanks for the info! I may move them so they can be a bit better protected. I want her to sit on them but if she doesn't I want to incubate them.

New to turkeys...a couple nesting questions.

I have two 9 month old hens with my 9 month old Tom. He's been strutting quite a bit (I don't know if he's done the deed or not) and I just yesterday saw one of my hens on 2 eggs. The other hen today has been over there and looked to be helping in nest building. Now I have a house and covered...

But according to Porter's the Blue Red Bronze does have slight barring. http://www.porterturkeys.com/blueredbronze.htm

Yes, he does have faint barring on the tail feathers. That's what throws me off. Still hard to tell I know, but can't get a good photo in the daylight, will have to wait until this weekend.

Right, that'll have to wait until my husband gets home. Gotta have 2 sets of hands for that, maybe 3. Lol.

Hatching has begun early! Just double checking on what to do.

Sadly no, one that hatched knocked another that was hatching around and caused it's death. The one that did hatch only lived 24 hours. I had a lot of humidity issues, so I'm not thinking it developed properly. Idk.

I see what you mean about a Blue Red Bronze though...the hen looks almost identical to him so maybe two of them.

Closer photos are sadly next to impossible. There are slight penciled markings on his tail feathers though they aren't real prominent. These aren't much better photos but you can kind of see the markings I'm referring to on the one side of his tail feathers. Hen Hen Jake's Tail (I...

Here's a better view of the Jake's Tail band, I'll try to get a better one of all of them. The lady I bought them from ordered them from Porters Rare Heritage Turkeys and that's what she was told anyway.

If I've done my research correct, my Jake and one of my hens are both Pencilled Red Palms while my other hen is simply a Pencilled Palm with the narragansett coloring.

First Time Turkey Venture - Pencilled Palms

So I just brought home three 9 month old Pencilled Palms, they are gorgeous! I am still doing research on the breed and color possibilities. Any knowledge would be appreciated! I am feeding Scratch and Peck organic, non-GMO feeds with hopes of either selling hatching eggs (once I establish and...
