My red rangers are flying a little this year.... but not many and definitely similar to my last year rangers. Live weight at 12 weeks was 5-8 lbs. Will be butchering this weekend. They were from Townline.

I use a large stock tank with a cover for my chicks. Works good. They are outside so I have to watch the temps. I use a heat lamp, maybe I should look at a heating plate, are they are more efficient? Are they safe?

That is pretty close to what I want, I'll just move my netting and the coop separate.

Does anyone do this? Something that the chickens can be locked up at night? I would like to eventually do 50 broilers. I've looked at the ones on an old trailer frame, but wonder about clean up? I currently have a Joel Salatin model, it's ok but doesn't work super well with the netting. And...
