    Our entire backyard is a hillside about that same steepness and all our hens have no problem going up and down it foraging all the time.

    Coop windows need to open in spring/summer. We made interior removable screens in wood frames attached with wood turnbuckles---one layer of hardware cloth and one layer of regular window screening for bugs. HIGHLY advise.

    She has no injuries. Gabby has 6 pairs of goose boots in lots of colors! They protect her feet on pavement, etc., when on walkies, but also are a fashion statement. She loves her booties! She wears them only when we go out on the walks.

    DO NOT "RELOCATE IT TO THE WOODS" or anywhere else. That will not keep it from coming back or becoming someone else's problem. We shoot predators that we trap in order to keep our flock safe. No one like to do it, but you have to be responsible. You owe it to your flock!

    They are wonderful! Gabby is a domestic Pilgrim goose. They are a fairly rare domestic breed and the most calm and friendly. She is the dearest girl ever!!
