    Nope had no more pips so I opened them up unfortunately they were all shrink wrapped n were already dead, the little guy didn't make it either he passed away last night, I got him out the egg and he still had his yolk I'm devastated :( won't be trying again it's too much heartbreak poor babies

    Thankyou! And I'm not sure it was a mixed box of eggs but it said between Japanese, English white and Italians, and I was going to buy tbh haha I'm not the greatest with creativity haha x

    Haha your probably right silkie! I'm am really inpatient too so that probably getting to me aswell haha, I'm looking at housing for them I'm just wondering if a 3ft by 1 ft would be Ok for 3 adult quail? If all do make it as I will be keeping all that hatch lol x

    Now I'm thinking later in the day of 19 as I just read somebody waiting till day 20 and opening eggs up and they where fully ready to hatch but where already dead :( I'm such a worrier and this waiting isn't any good for it haha

    Wow bless his lil feathers haha he looks so cute! Do you agree with day 20 or Should I leave them longer I'm just scared they won't make it especially as they are the only 3 to get this far! I just dnt want to go in to early! Any advice for me hun? X

    Aww congrats hun they are so cute and yeah I'm gunna leave them be till day 20 and if still nothing I'm gunna candle for movement and possibly do an assisted hatch by popping a tiny hole in the bottom where there air cell is if they are still moving inside! And thankyou I really hope they hatch too it's such an amazing experience all of this even just the waiting game it teaches patience haha even though I haven't any haha!     Day 15 no egg rolling, no peeping or pipping steady temp at 37.8 and added extra water for humidity I candled again and one is very dark inside the other 2 seem to stillhave a red colour can still see movements in all 3 ;) cannot contain my excitement only a few more days hopefully!

    Thankyou duckchick congrats on your pippers lol and tbh I don't feel to downhearted as it's my first hatch so would have bin alot more work involved if they all did indeed hatch, just means more care and attention for the remaining 3 :)

    Did an eggtopsy today on the eggs that didnt look so good 3 were fertile but looked to have died within the first few days, 2 were completely scrambled probably due to posting,3 were infertile and one formed eyes and little limbs but must have quit around the week mark as it didn't develop any...

    Day 12 getting tooooo excited now, definitely 3 viable eggs that look like yours when candled duck chick! :) I have also decided my lockdown day is now day 14 x forgot to mention lots and lots of movement from all 3!

    Day 10 and lots of movement and lots of veins in 3 eggs so fingers crossed for them still I'm going to do lockdown day on day 13 which is Wednesday as I recently read that Japanese quail can hatch from day 14-17 or there after my original day for lockdown was 14 but I feel id rather be early...
