Black Copper Marans Roo.... with rose comb?

Hello! I need some expert opinions on this rooster. He was given to me as a year old Black Copper Marans but now what I'm doing research I've learned that true BCMs have a single comb. What is this guy? He does have the characteristic feathered legs and I saw his sister that lays dark brown...

Dark Brahma x Blue Ameraucana cross?

I am breeding these mixes now! Was wondering about the egg color and appearance as adults. Mine are actually from a light brahma crossed with red/brown Ameracaunas!

It looks like a pullet to me! My supposed-to-be pullet that is actually a cockerel is 8 weeks old also. He has a much larger, pinker comb and a much "thicker" appearance overall than yours. I love the color!

Thank you! I love his color. I hope he stays relatively quiet so that we can keep him around.

My Patsy or (Pats-HE?) sprouted red feathers all of a sudden. I was holding on to hope despite his reddening comb at 8 weeks... But he/she is looking more and more manly.

Thank you so much for your feedback! The comb is my concern as well. None of my other 8-week olds (other breeds) have any pink yet!

He/She looks a lot like my mystery-gendered EE! I was so excited about the colored eggs, but I think she's a he!

I posted photos of my EE a few weeks ago and received very mixed answers. Does anyone care to guess again now that she/he is older? She is a feedstore "Amerecauna" pullet but some members here have pointed out that she is an EE instead. I have a suspicion that she is a he, but I am a chicken...

Is my Patsy a Pats-He? Ameracauna at 4 weeks.

He/she is now starting to get a pink comb at 5 weeks. I also noticed her/him chasing my white leghorn and grabbing her neck feathers in a super aggressive manner. Eek! Is this normal?

Can anyone help me with the gender of my EE? I got her from a pullet bin at a feed supply store, but she is HUGE compared to my other pullets (different breeds).

Is my Patsy a Pats-He? Ameracauna at 4 weeks.

That's okay! I am not picky about the breed as long as Patsy turns out to be a she! Ow I'll not be able to keep her if she's a rooster. :(

Ameraucana thread for posting pictures and discussing our birds

Hi there! This is my first time raising chicks, but I have a feeling that my almost 5-week old ameracauna pullet that I purchased from a feed store may actually be a He! She is about 1/3 larger than my other chicks and has shown some different behaviors, such S scratching at my hands when I...
