I like that it can be moved around the yard to give the hens more area to forage instead of one set place.
It's also light enough with back issues and being a leg amputee that I wouldn't have to find someone to help me move it.
No going out in morning to let them out or waiting until dark...
Sooo...I have four brahmas around 3 1/2 months old. The only one I named (scooter) is starting to look roo-ish with the bigger and redder comb. Thoughts? That being said....anyone want a brahma roo? 44212
It seems like it's my barred rock laying. She's been doing the "egg song" too. But they seem to be whitish eggs instead of brown? Just found my second egg after she sand her song while I was weed wacking the yard. Could she be sending for the buff star hybrid maybe and pretending they are...
Thank you :-) I plan on making more but personalized for different family members. They all say I should make more and take to craft shows but I'd rather do make to order :-) there's tons of used tired out there so opportunities are endless!!!
Found my first egg in the coop today! Think it's from my golden buff because my other 3 hens are brown egg layers [astrolorp, orpington and barred rock) she's 18 weeks old!!
Well I thought it was funny. They usually stay within an arms reach of me......but all it took was me sitting outside eating pizza and they were suddenly my best friends! My buff actually tried to jump in my lap being bossy as she is...lol

Hi everyone! The attached pics are of my new barred rock that I bought as a 20 week old laying hen. He/she is about 22 weeks now but with that comb I'm wondering if it's possible it's a roo. I'm a chicken newbie so please be gentle! Lol
I'm in medina county and the weather has been nuts! Swish (not sure how to tag you) if you want a few silkies I have 6 - few weeks old ones I'd be willing to part with a couple.....
