    I have 5 female muscovies. 2 days ago I threw out 10 eggs. Today there was 14 eggs. I don't know what could be making them produce this many eggs in such a short amount of time. They usually only lay 1-2 a day. Anybody know what's going on? I've been raising muscovies for about 20 years...

    I'm not worried about things digging in and getting them. They'll only be out in the pen when I'm out there with them. Otherwise, they will be secured in their brooder at night or when I'm not at home or out in the yard where I can be near them. There will be pictures though.

    Hard to say at that age. Once Hamilton is about half grown with all his feathers in he should start either making a cooing sound which means female or sounds that sound like a dog's panting and deep gasping which means male. Hope that helps.
