Has Anyone Used The Poultry Store Dewormer?

I'm curious to hear from anyone who has actually used this dewormer. What was your experience? Did it work for you?

11 Week Old Silkie, what’s your best guess!

I know they are difficult to sex when young, but can anyone give me their best guess? We got this baby from Bradshaw Feed. Thank you so much!

    Feathers won't grow back

They get organic Modesto milling layer crumbles, meal worms, and scratch with sunflower seeds, flax, peas, etc., and our kitchen scraps. Maybe I'll get some feather fixer feed.

    Feathers won't grow back

Thanks for your reply! I'm familiar with molting. They have already been through one molt and starting another one now, but her feathers have been this way for much, much longer than any of the others. I kept expecting them to grow back but they haven't. I'm wondering if she is picking her own...

    Feathers won't grow back

I have a sweet hen who lost feathers probably a year ago and they still have yet to grow back. Can anyone tell me what they think this is from and what can I do to encourage growth. Winter is coming and I don't want her to suffer. She's missing feathers on top of one of her wings and then...

Integrating one chick with mama and existing chick

Yes, probably about 2 weeks. I've tried a few different times, but she definitely knows which one is hers and she attacks the other baby. Looks like I'll be brooding her inside!

Will a hen raise new hatchlings along with older chicks?

Hi Ali74! I do not know the answer to your question, but I just posted something similar and curious what the experts will say! I would imagine if she already accepted them, they should be okay? Interested to see what others think... And best of luck to you!

Integrating one chick with mama and existing chick

Hello fellow chicken lovers! I have a small flock of two hens. (Had four, but two passed away over the last couple of years, and four is the max allowed where I live.) My Lavender Orpington was broody and I got two baby chicks a couple of weeks ago and placed them under her at night. She was...

    Putting chicks under broody hen

So far, so good! I put two little chicks under her last night around 10:30pm. She immediately began cluck-purring and seemed happy to have them. This morning they were peeping out from under her. She hasn’t brought them out of the nest though, and I’m worried that they need to drink some water...

    Putting chicks under broody hen

Thank you! She was a good mama the last time around and I’m hoping this time will be the same. I only have the one lavender Orpington and it seems she is broody every time I turn around!

    Putting chicks under broody hen

Has anyone ever put baby chicks under a broody hen? I’ve hatched fertile eggs with my broody Orpington, but this time I’m thinking of putting baby chicks from the feed store under her. Any tips? TIA!

    Can pullets really crow?

Yes! Hens can crow. My silver sebright would crow! She started as a young pullet and I thought I was going to have to find her a new home since roosters aren't allowed where we live. But shortly thereafter, she began laying eggs! She crowed every morning just like clockwork.

Golden Sebright Bantys- hens or roos?

I just wanted to add that my silver sebright hen used to crow! She passed away earlier this year, but she would crow just like a rooster and she was the "leader" of my little flock. She also laid lovely little eggs, so I know she was a hen! :) PS - Yours are sure cute!

2 yr old Lavender Orpington losing feathers on belly

Thank you, ChickNanny13! Yes, they free range. She still seems to be laying eggs daily, but she’s not staying in the nest like she used to.
