Hello,
I have dirt then 4"-6" mulch fresh or aged mulch, that you can find for free on CL from landscaping companies or you just pay gas money to them..
I tried everything from sand ( attracts many flies) I tried hay which if it got wet don't absorb liquids very well.
Then I tried using mulch, I'm not talking about your expensive designer mulch, I got free mulch from land scabing company who got wood chips and needed place near by to deliver for...
Love purely poultry hatchery,
I just received my 22 chicks all alive and healthy, good prices on maranas and some other breeds that's might be more expensive with other hatcheries marking them as rare breed.
I received my 17 ducklings from Hoover hatchery today all healthy and happy, this is my second Hoover order I got turkies from them before and I'm waiting for my chicken chicks ..very good price, fast shipping and friendly customer service.
I know but i have welsumers they look like they have more gold to them and brown, and my black stars from last year look just like pic#2 .. but I could be wrong ..
i have barred rocks, dark Cornish , welsumer, sulmtalers, leg-bar hens for sale all laying good health in just Dow sizing my flock. Located near n Raleigh, NC
I
ordered from Hoover hatchery for the first time even though I couldn't believe their cheap prices coupled with no reviews so I wasn't sure about them but I ordered any way.
I just received my patch of 10 unsexed turkey chicks broiler. All healthy little thirsty but all health and eating I attached pictures after I unwrapped the box.
Welcome to BYC, I worry about predetors attacking my chicken so I have fence mesh on top of the run under the crrogated panels incase something can squeeze in between coop frame and tin roof.
All poults, I've had similar issue before were some of my hens have longer tail feathered which naturally will curve down. Look at the feathers at the base of the tail see if they are pointy elongated compared to a positively identified hen.
