I also give mine open access to the run. They don't seem to be spending much time in the coop other then to eat. They are 16 weeks now and I am wondering if they will go in the nest boxes to lay.
I am having the same issue, also 5 week old chicks and treating with corid.I just picked them up on Friday, and acclimating them to the coop wondering if I should let them into the attached run now so that they can begin to build an immunity to the soil??
I hope this is the right spot for this post. I am getting my chicks this week. How should I go about introducing them to their coop and run? I am new to this whole chicken thing lol
Hi everyone! Getting everything ready for the arrival of my chicks. Should I use the dlm in the run as well as the coop? I was thinking I would leave the grass there for them and use the pine shavings once the grass was gone or it gets to messy..Thoughts
Hi,I have wanted to have chickens for years it seems, and now I can scratch it off my bucket list. The coop is on it's way,and in a few weeks I will be getting my 3 chicks. I chose 1 Easter Egger,1 Silver laced Wyandotte and 1Buff Orpington.I'm excited and so looking forward to this new adventure!!
