Ducks pipped over 30 hours ago, but no progress!

I thought the same thing, and he's already getting a little stronger. His feet still overlap when he walks, but they're a lot flatter already. I will start the niacin in the water today!

Ducks pipped over 30 hours ago, but no progress!

He is out now!!! I had to open up the membrane a little more, but he did the rest himself. He was really eager to come out! He seems to be healthy, but I think that he might have something wrong with one of his feet. He's been out for an hour or two now, and it is not straightening out. I'm...

Ducks pipped over 30 hours ago, but no progress!

I forgot you give an update before I left last night! I was tired. What I found was quite interesting, and maybe one of you can tell me if you've seen this! But before I begin, let me just tell you that the duck is STILL in the egg, but also still alive (and also quite vocal about the fact that...

Ducks pipped over 30 hours ago, but no progress!

So, there is still no progress on the last egg! It has been internally pipped for well over 48 hours now. I've read the guide to assisting a hatch... Should I go in?? I'm so nervous!

Ducks pipped over 30 hours ago, but no progress!

Yes, I believe it does! And to answer your question in the PM, yes, there is only one egg left unhatched.

Ducks pipped over 30 hours ago, but no progress!

I'm not sure what kind of ducks they are. We got them donated from a farm, and they have a mix of runners and pekins. I was assured that they would all be okay at the same temp and humidity, but now I'm not too sure. The temp is at 98.5 F. I don't want to cook the duck that's drying off, but I...

Ducks pipped over 30 hours ago, but no progress!

I made the safe hole yesterday, because it had already been 24 hours since the internal pip. That is why I'm a little worried. It's probably been closer to 48 hours since the internal pip. The only thing that reassures me is that I still see the egg moving every once in a while, and it chirps...

Ducks pipped over 30 hours ago, but no progress!

Yes, there is an internal pip. We're on day 28 now, so today was the day I was expecting them to hatch! We started with 6 eggs, and 3 of them decided to pip on day 25 and hatched on 26, and 2 of them hatched last night on day 27. Are they just spreading this out to torture me??

Ducks pipped over 30 hours ago, but no progress!

I just got in to find another duck hatched! So now 2 of the 3 slow pokes have hatched! Unfortunately, the last egg has not made any progress! There is still no external pip. I picked the egg up and could still feel it moving around inside, so it's still alive, but has not made any progress in...

Ducks pipped over 30 hours ago, but no progress!

Okay, I've bumped the humidity up, and I'm keeping the newly hatched one in there over night to keep the lazy ones in the eggs active! Ducks really do take their sweet time! They started this whole thing on Monday! Seeing as how I have Mondays and Tuesdays off, and now I'm here 4 hours past when...

Ducks pipped over 30 hours ago, but no progress!

Here are the pics of the two eggs that are still unhatched. Let me know if you think that I should intervene at all. I am doing this all from work, and it is now 7:30 and I'm hungry! I'm trying to figure out if I can go home for the night, or if I should order some pizza and cozy up for a long...

Ducks pipped over 30 hours ago, but no progress!

Thanks for all the advice! Okay, so one of them all the sudden decided it was time to hatch, and went from having just a small hole to being out in about an hour! But the other two have not done much. I've made a safe hole for the one that has yet to pip externally, and the other one has cracked...

Ducks pipped over 30 hours ago, but no progress!

Thanks for the advice! I will try to reach out. We did have a problem with humidity in the beginning. It kept getting too low over night when no one was in the museum. In the mean time, do you think that I should try to poke a hole in the shell of the one with the failed pip? I would hate for it...

Ducks pipped over 30 hours ago, but no progress!

We are hatching ducks for the first time at our Children's Museum (we've always hatched chicks in the past), and we're having some weird stuff happening with this hatch! First of all, I came in on Monday (25th day in incubator) to take our 6 duck eggs out of the egg turner, and 3 of them had...
