I have an Ador1 and it is great
I also built one myself from plans I found on BYC. Don't remember where it is tho. The Ador1 is opened and closed by an electric eye, the one I built is on a timer. It's also way noise then the Ador but it did cost significantly less.
I had one that would attack only my wife. I tried everything I could find here and elsewhere on the 'net. Last resort, I put him in rooster jail for two weeks. First thing out of jail, he started to mate one of the hens that was always 'visiting' him in jail. My wife walked by and he forgot the...
I am looking for a Barred Rock rooster preferably a cockerel. I intend to cross breed to some White Laced Red Cornish pullets I have. I am in Lower Michigan, Kalamazoo area.
I am having the same problem with my rooster. Singled out just one hen and is really beating her up. Will separate tomorrow and let him join the group headed to freezer camp on Monday. Shows all the symptoms listed in this thread (?). Have a young cockerel that is going to get a reprieve from...

AArt, Thanks for the education. Its one of the reasons I am here. Never heard of a Lash egg. Hope I never see one from my chickens. The link to the lash egg info is great. Eliminates all doubt.
Boy, Am I glad to hear that! My fellow is very much a gentleman. He watches over his hens well and any squawk and he is right there to handle the problem. Plus he is nice to people too. I will post a picture as soon as I can. Thank you so much for the encouragement.
