I have 2 in my little pack of 8 chickens, all around 16 weeks old. They've been with me since they hatched and have great temperaments thus far. I know that can change but I'm realllllly hoping it doesn't! My favorite out of all of them is my Buff Orpington Marshmallow...he is so sweet and I...
Here is our Marshmallow at 16 weeks currently...he's as sweet and cuddly as they come! He had wry neck recently and has made so much progress lately you'd never know it now!
First picture is Pickles, second is Fefe...about 15 weeks old I am thinking Pullet any other opinions? Fefe is quite a bit smaller than Pickles, but has had more comb and wattle development earlier on!
Here is Lavender, I'm pretty sure we have a (very handsome) Roo based on looks and personality. About 14 weeks old, was the tiniest and slowest to feather out of my 8 different chicks. However this is my first round of chickens so I'm not exactly knowledgable yet! Any ideas on if I'm right?
Here is Marshmallow at 7 weeks or so. My daughter's school hatched our 3 buff orpingtons and we brought them home so we are expecting to have at least one Roo out of all our chickens. Marshmallows siblings are smaller with barely any comb or wattle development yet so we are thinking this may be...
That's what I'm hoping! She has the second biggest comb and wattles out of my 8 chicks I have a BO that is definitely making me think Roo but not sure yet. I know I hear someone trying to make those little baby crowing sounds but I can't figure out who is doing it!
Fefe is about 4.5 weeks old now and my favorite in my bunch but definitely has more comb development and wattles starting to redden. I'm still suspicious she could be a he but I am hoping not!
Thank you...that is what i was leaning towards after all the research I've been doing on the subject. Very timid little thing, but bribing with mealworms seems to do the trick. I'm very anxious to see how he/she grows!
My daughter's favorite chick (she proudly named "Lavender Sweets") is a silver laced Wyandotte just about 2 weeks old now and I swear this thing hasn't grown. Still the same fuzzy downy little thing with no tail feathers and finally some wing feather development but should I be concerned? We...
