NASA has reported no significant change in the global average temperatures since 1998. The earth is just not cooperating with the global warming "scientists". It is very hard to justify that the "science is settled" when the earth Just isn't warming.
3 months old. We got them as chicks the last week of March. She/He is a Barred Rock. Our other Barred Rock is smaller and doesn't have much of a comb on the top of her head and nothing under her beak. The same is true for our Rhode Island red and our 3 White Leghorns.
I took a picture if my chicken that I am fairly sure is not a hen but a rooster. If hens can grow a comb like that please let me know because I really want to keep him/her.

TwoCrows. Thanks for that advice. I like the idea of the rooster collar but then I would end up with having more chickens than the city will allow. I wouldn't mind having more chickens and eventually we are going to sell our house a buy a place in the country where there are no ordinances...
