Here is a picture from today. Its wattle would be bigger if it was a a cockerel. Right? Somebody said that there chick had a big comb from a young age but turned out to be a hen. What do you think?

A lot of people are saying that Cashew is a hen. Which is what I'm hoping for.

Hey everyone. I've heard a lot of discussion on chickens with big combs but still being a hen. My chick Cashew is a Rhode Island Red and is 6 weeks old. She has a big comb for a chick. I have heard discussion on people saying that it's a pullet because the comb doesn't go farther down the head...

Finally!! People that may understand!! I have a Rhode Islsnd Red chick who we are hoping it's a pullet. It ( I should say) is 6 weeks. People are saying that she is a pullet because her comb doesn't reach very far down her head but some people say she is a roo because of how big her comb is...

Well some Rhode Island Red pullets have big combs so I'll hope that Cashew is a girl. @summerb123

Okay so I just realized something... The chicks are 6 weeks! I looked back on my calendar so... Do you still think that they are pullets??
