    You were right. I just found my Speckled Sussexs stash of about 20 eggs under a bush. She's in there right now laying one. Is there a way to tell if eggs are fresh or not? Thanks!

    They do free range during the day, but usually stay near the house where it's cool, and the three eggs that I have gotten were layed at night. I'll start checking in the flower beds, though. Thanks!

    Thanks! I'll start adding eggshell to their diet. I also give them watermelon during the afternoon when it's really hot. Does Gatorade really help? Thanks again!

    I have three hens, a Speckled Sussex, a Partridge Cochin, and a Buff Orpington. On July 2nd I got my first egg, and on July 3rd I got two more, but I haven't gotten any more since then. Why is this happening?
