    25-hour egg cycle??

    I did the same and thought the 25 hour cycle was written in stone over time though my girls have shown me it just dosent happen like that.

    I have a Rhode Island Red hen called 'retard' due to her previous moronic ways. Once she reached 6 1/2 months though she just snapped out of it, maybe she her brain was just a bit slow to develop.

    Tricks for laying in the nest box

    Golf balls worked for me aswell, i put about three in the laying boxes about a month before hand. My first girl 'Road Runner' took the hint and layed her first egg in the laying box, a few days later i removed the balls and the rest of the girls that started laying after that knew where to do it.
