I suspect one of my 3 week old chicks to have coccidiosis, or an injury. I will run a fecal float in a bit. But just in case it has coccidiosis, I want to have the dosage for Albon ready. I also have corid powder 20%, but I would rather treat only this one chick instead of everyone. I cannot...
She's moving very well and even takes "straw dirt baths" in the brooder. Looks somewhat weird with her head cocked to the side, but she's fine otherwise. Eating and drinking just awesome! I am giving goat gel in small portions 4 times a day, vitamin b complex as injection, and 1 whole vitamin e...
I also add a pinch of turmeric to her vitamin e capsule that she gets daily. She's growing just fine, but that crooked neck won't better at all. Poor thing. I think I'll up the dosage on the b vitamin and also give more vitamin e.
I have good chick starter available and have also wet mash baby parrot feed in there. Also liquified hardboiled egg yolk. They're all eating and drinking everything, including her. I just see it getting worse and not better. She's from TSC, can a chick from a hatchery have Marek's? Newcastle...
She's been getting 4x a day small pea sized dollops of goat gel, 1 vitamin e gel capsule squeezed into her mouth and also .5 ml of high level vitamin b complex injected once daily. It's been 4 days of treatment. I know wry neck can take time to get completely better, I just wanted to see if...
I got some chicks from the feed store a few weeks ago. They were all healthy except for bad pasty butt. About 3 days ago I noticed my barred bantam cochin chick looking funny. Her neck seems to be positioned sideways. Not tilted backwards like wry neck, but I felt the neck, and the spine...
I feed all Flock feed and oyster shell free choice for everyone. I supplement their water with ND. I start my chicks only on non medicated nutrena chick starter with probiotics. I also give bene bac paste to babies. I never had silkies, but was told that silkies needed extra care as they're...
I got a few chicks and would like to give them goat gel as a preventative for wry neck. I never had chicks or adults with it, but I'd like to give the silkies some, just in case? TIA
