    Hi! I have three one year old white hens that came as part of the Murray McMurray brown egg layer bundle I bought a year ago. All white, yellow legs, brown eggs, docile. Posting a few pics... Anyone know what breed they are?

    Thanks everyone! I will research Barnevelders & Partridge Rock and see if I can figure out which one for sure. He is a very mellow guy and just gets out of our way when we walk. He does protect his hens, but isn't aggressive with people. Very thankful for that!

    Common brown egg layer breeds? One might be a buff of some sort? The white ones - 2 have yellow legs, but 2 have gray/blue. Any ideas?

    I definitely think it is a Star Spangled Hamburg, as a previous post suggested. I've attached updated pictures, but now I'm wondering if it is a rooster or not. Any insight?

    UPDATE: Took her to the vet and she had a swollen tendon in her leg... either injury or spider bite. Vet gave me a mixture of antibiotics/anti-inflammatories and she is starting to walk normal again!

    I just looked up some pictures of Silver Spangled Hamburg and he/she looks exactly like the pictures I'm finding. The legs do have a blue color to them, but almost mixed with a little orange/yellow. Thanks!
