    As our gardening season wraps up here in the north the deer seem to ramp as well. 15 tomato plants destroyed...Ill see what if any can be salvaged. Not a single branch broken on the pumpkins though...

    Wow great start! Small Predators will be able to get through The 1x2 fencing so maybe double it up and overlay another price or use. 1/2 galvanized hardware cloth. Will the run have shelter other than the bird netting on top? Good luck!

    Love this thread! Being a forester, and practicing currently in Maine plus we also heat secondary with wood. We're all set for the season. Mostly soft maple and birch. Where my wife works ( also a forester) she get 4 full cords a year.

    New to the whole BYC and chickens this year. We received 7 new Barred Rocks the first week of July. Well adjusted now, the ladies enjoy 3-4 hrs or more each day free ranging. They wander over to the neighbors, into the apple trees between yards and elsewhere. We can't wait until they start...
