Well it's been a while since I posted pictures. Sadly I was only able to get 1 chick to hatch, the other 6 quit in lock down :/
Well I moved the bigger chicks out to an old turkey pen that's been empty. They seem quite pleased with the change since they were getting too big for their little...
Well I don't have any more pictures of my chicks (I know I know I need some)especially considering I think I have a majority of males... I'll have to get some nice ones to see if anyone can tell for me. They ate all really sweet though. When I feed they like to roost on the shelf I have keeping...
Well today is day 9 on the eggs. I was too impatient to wait for day 10 >>
Final count out of 16 eggs is 8 confirmed chicks, 5 empties, and 3 I'm not sure of. I'm getting excited!
OK that makes since. This is the only one I see who has it, and I already ordered a dozen eggs that are incubating at the moment from a different line to help better my chances. Thank you
I'm still not too sure if it was really green or if it was due to the pine pellets mixing with their black skin. I have since switched them to sand and a bigger coop. I was planning on giving them all another once over Saturday. I have pics in my thread. I'm on my phone now but I posted the link...
Thank you! Sorry about that, I was hoping one of you guys would show. I was just going by what I've been told about growing out chicks <3 oh I have plans on Culling them, but we will use them for meat so I'm letting them grow out for now
I heard they are, but I'm not willing to shell out 600$ even if they are. They have a different look to them than the GFF line, but not by much. I haven't found anyone who has gotten them though to hear from them about it.
I just started a month ago and still learning myself, but I have noticed that you never know the true quality until they mature. Everyone I've talked to have said don't cull chicks because they change so much as they grow. That chick with white toes might end up with perfect black ears and comb...
Here are the 5 I got from them about a month ago. I've heard good things about them and since the breed is still a work in progress, there are never any guarantees on the chicks. Did you get the Green Fire line or their new import line? Some have said they have had toes and feet darken as they...
Not sure if you are still interested, but I had found this link and saved it for myself

Not sure if it was what you were looking for, but thought I'd share just in case
They are growing up nicely. Sadly now that they are in a bigger coop, it is getting harder to snag them for individual photo sessions. They are still quite friendly and like to come say high and perch on my hands whenever I feed.
This is the darkest out of all of them, and of course this is...
He's gorgeous. I honestly wouldn't have caught those feathered legs... I'll have to keep an eye out for it with the chicks I have just in case. And I hope I have even one chick from your line look as good as that one does! I can't wait for mine to hatch! The waiting is killing me... I'm only on...
Well I got my eggs on Wednesday! Sadly I've been really sick the past few days so I haven't been able to really do much. I took pics of the whole unboxing. She did a really good job with the packaging. I'm taking notes from this one!
It's a box inside of another box!
So much bubble wrap...
Well the chicks seem to be having a blast in the new coop. They like to stand at the top of the ramp and try to fly down. They are running every which way also their little hearts content. It's a lot of fun to watch them. It's like kids at a playground.
I ended up having to put up some wired...
That is awesome! You wouldn't happen to have any lavenders would you? Sorry I'd look it up, but I'm on my phone at the moment at work. I'd like to have chicks just for the fun of raising them, and I still need to finish fixing up the area so it won't be right now right now. But I am definitely...
I'm glad I found it! I've been thinking of reusing my old bantam coop, though I'm still not sure what I want. I think I'm leaning towards a few bantam easter eggers but it's hard to find any. Hopefully I can find someone local on here that has bantams!
Sheep are cool, but make sure you know of a shearer before you get them. It's a real pain trying to do it yourself. We had alpacas for years and would end up having to help shear a neighbor's sheep every year with hand shears... Not fun lol took 4 of us just to do one.
Well it's not much, but it's something. I've moved my chicks over to the larger grow out coop we've been using for some quail. Since I've been having issues with the pine pellets, I've decided to go out on a limb and switch over to sand. I've seen quite a few people on here saying it was great...
