So some have asked for an update. Leia is now 6 months of as of Sunday. She is half the size and height of her sibling. her brother is over 7 feet tall, Laia is about 4' 5". Her neck is shorter and legs are slower to develop. I have her in a special diet ensuring she receives a little more...
I will try and get you a picture when I get home. She is still less than half he size of her siblings. Still very 'special' :-) She is a sweet heart. She wants her hug every morning. Never seen anything like her :-)
Yeah that pretty much is in line what I read. Good chance then momma is split and I'm not aware. The breeder didn't have too much info on history but momma doesn't have any white flight feathers as are common in splits. As days go by, it's quite appearent the chick will have a lot of white on...
Hatched two peachicks. Both parents are IB and not pied. One of the chicks looks pied. White wings and a lot of blonde. The other one does not. Any thoughts on if it's pied or not?
I have an older chicken coop and pen. Haven't used it in a few months. Because of the risk chicken diseases can pose to peafowl, is there anything that can be put on the soil to treat the soil and kill any disease present that anyone may be aware of? I want to use the pen for my peachcicks.

Does the chick walk fine right now? Some chicks can be born with it, but if it's walking fine right now, it should be fine. Just make sure your bin is not a slippery surface or it can develop very quickly.
Sorry to hear that! You know it's really tough to say. Sometimes it's seems like they are getting worse and then one day they are up and running around like nothing has happened. Stress is one of the biggest threat to her at this point. Sorry I'm not much help, it honestly sounds like you are...
So I found this thread. Maybe it will help!!

It seems pretty on spot. I have gamble quail and snowflakes, but never seen bumble foot in them. I've had to cut bumble out of a chickens foot when it is severe, but...
