I have two hens that have not started to lay yet and they are the same age as the other girls. I am trying to find out the same answer to that question.
I just added some new two month old pullets to my coop. They will not go into the coop with the older hens. They are perched on a roost in the run which has some protection from wind. Temperature is about 38 degrees. Any suggestions?
I have cochins and the white cochin is an excellent egg layer and very gentle. She was at the bottom of the pecking order till she started laying eggs. It is almost winter with less than 8 hours of day light and she is still laying an egg practically everyday.
