    I just need a simple amount of feed pre bird ? Cups or pounds? They aren’t free range birds. I try to keep feeders full , because it’s easier on me due to the long hours I work . I feel like they are being gluttons!

    I feed laying pellets. I keep feed in a autofeeder and they will eat as mush as I put in there and very little waste on the floor. Got a PVC pipe feeder , not much they hold but it is always empty !

    Last two nights I’ve put the young ones up on the high roost polls , hopefully in a few weeks they will learn to get up there selfs. There was evidence where something tried to dig under , but my wire is a few inches under ground.

    Welded dog wire is the kind of fence you can buy at Lowe’s it has 2 in by 4 in slot s. Yes my chickens stay in a coop , the ones that got killed where young they was still roosting low on the ground.
