Official BYC Poll: What Kind Of Relationship Do Your Dogs & Chickens Have?

For the past 6 years, whenever I let the hens out, both of my dogs just like to lay outside with them. I think because of watching my interactions with all our animals, they have some kind of understanding that the chickens are family too. Here are two photos: first one is my now 10 year old...

    Prettiest Easter Egger Contest! Ended

This is Miss Zoe at 14 weeks old. Super smart! She doesn't see well up close, so when I throw a treat, such as oatmeal, the others run for it and Zoe will run to me to eat out of my hand. :)

    Roundworms and Ivermectin Pour On

Good! Thank you for verifying. It was a tiny worm; about 1/4" long. I dumped all the droppings this morning on a try and went through them and found that little guy. With it being segmented; my first reaction was tapeworm. Learn something new everyday! :)

Hi @dawg53 and @Folly's place. I gave 1/2cc to all 8 hens on August 12th. As I was scooping their droppings this morning, I found about 7 dead Roundworms and 1 small live worm. I believe it is a Tapeworm... I placed it under a microscope and took a photo, please find photo attached. I...

    Roundworms and Ivermectin Pour On

I’m looking into both right now; figure out cost and best place to buy. My vet had recommended to use Ivermectin pour on, but I’m learning that isn’t the best option for poultry. Thank you all for your help and advice !

    Roundworms and Ivermectin Pour On

Hi Mary Oh goodness! I definitely don’t want a forever egg withdrawal. I’m starting to feel as if my vet doesn’t handle chickens as much as other animals... Is there a known site for figuring out correct dosages for each product listed above (Fenbendazole and Albendazole )? Thank you for...
