Glad I found this thread because one of our ducklings just hatched with this same deformity. One of our ducks is crested so I'm guessing its hers. Hope he or she survives!
I recenly acquired two ganders for mytwo female geese and now they are happily mating. My question is, when willl their eggs be fertile? They had been laying before the ganders arrived and they continue to lay now and I'd like to have some goslings but I don't know when the eggs are no longer...
