    Chicken attacked by raccoon

Updated pictures. The patch of feathers at the bottom is what I'm worried about. She is still doing very well. Stronger antibiotics will be here tomorrow. I fear the amoxicillin isnt doing much.

    Chicken attacked by raccoon

How do I get the feathers that are stuck to her wound? I tried pulling them off the other day but it was peeling skin so I stopped. Do I just wait for it to scab and fall off? Epsom salt bath?

I'm changing her gauze 3x a day with new neosporin and collidal silver. I've had to euthanize hens before. I felt if...

    Chicken attacked by raccoon

We did the amputation and I will post pictures. I tried to cut and clean as much as we could. Some feathers were attached to her and were peeling skin off so I left them for now. I went to the adult store, got some numbing cream and put that all over the area and bone. Husband clipped it with...

Thank you! I really want to save her! My husband is going to amputate her wing tonight. I'll start amoxicillin tonight and order a stronger antibiotic. She is moving around, eating and drinking. As far as the raccoon goes we have two traps we have set out. Any helpful tips to catch him would be...
