Chronic poopy butt in adult hen

I’ll have her check her crop in the morning make sure it’s empty. I’d say it feels normal? As far as I know, not overly squishy but not hard. Not super full either, but we have noticed she isn’t eating as much.

    Breed of drakes?

Any idea what breed these drakes are? They came from an assorted duckling bin, from Hoovers hatchery. The one with the lighter grey body has purple on his wing and the dark browner one has blue, he also has a greener head in the sunlight.

    Hen having trouble breathing

I can get antibiotics from a vet, but even the large animal vets around here don’t really see chickens. Over the last four years I’ve had some runny noses and sneezes here or there, but nothing that the whole flock seemed to get. I haven’t heard of Newcastles around here but I could be for sure...

Thank you all for the information. I will pass it along. My friend did mention she does seem to make a mess of herself quite often. I have a kitchen scale we can use to make sure she is gaining weight. She wants to give her a chance if she is doing ok but will cull if she goes down hill so she...

    Scissor beak

My friend has a chick with a bad scissor beak. We are wondering if she can live a fairly normal life or not. I know you have to watch for weight gain and she is eating and drinking in her own. My friend said she looked normal at first. Just wanting to find out the outcome of one this severe.

    Pullet can’t use one leg

i have a 2 1/2 month old pullet that a couple days ago was limping and having a hard time using her leg. I assumed she either hurt it jumping if the roost (only 2 ft high) or one of the older pullets accidentally stepped on her. I left her with everyone else because she was hanging out with my...

Did I harm my turkey eggs?

Tonight is the 10 day mark and I got busy and forgot to turn them until late tonight and only once yesterday. So they went around 36 hours without being turned. Did I just harm/kill my turkey eggs? I candled them tonight, I don’t see any obvious blood rings but this is my first time incubating...
