Dying chick? Maybe too much organic acv

Sounds like a lot for such young chicks to go through. Are you sure it is coccidiosis? Being so small and young, I'd be worried about stressing the body out. Maybe they need a few days with electrolytes and option of fresh water, healthy food to adjust to all the changes. Obviously unless they...

    Egyptian Fayoumis Thread!

I have lots of different breeds and my Egyptian has the most personality. She really seems like she's thinking or planning something more than the rest who just beg for some form of a treat. I never raised mine to want to be on us. She does the squat so I sneak a good petting every now and then.

post your chicken coop pictures here!

Finished our new one not too long ago. I'm in construction so 97% was salvaged from a burn pile or a load to the dump. Cost me about 200$ in plywood, screws, stain, chains, hindges and not much time to build. the girls seem to like it so far. . .

    Coop cleaning

PDZ is a horse stall freshener. Absorbs ammonia. I use the granulated instead of powder about an inch thick on poop board.i use a cat litter scoop to clean daily.

Keeping Poop Out of Nesting Boxes

the roost bar should be higher than the nest boxes. I'd block off the nest boxes and put them on the roost bar at night. Once one gets ahold of it, the rest usually follows.

My pullets are terrified of me

scratch grains are good. Bugs and worms are great. I'd sit in the garden and dig worms and have them eat out of my hand. Maybe more than treats(a huge maybe), spending a little extra time would work also. Having them think you are a part of the flock. pullets are silly and will probably grow out...
