Hello, yes she was vaccinated for mareks. They have never been around any other hens, always in my brooder. I have not seen her poop. And yes as soon as I pick her up, she falls into this situation.

    Shaking head and yawning

Hello, I’ll keep him on amoxicillin for 10 days. I cleaned his ears out tonight, he had black gunk in both. I’ve attached a picture of his ear. Not very good. For the ivermectin, do I apply it to his back side or underside? I’ll repeat it in 14 days at the appropriate amount. Thanks again.

Thank you, if I have Tylosin how do I mix this for his use only? I also have amoxicillin? I will clean his ears out today. For the mites, I dusted him in Saven and applied a pin drop of ivermectin under each wing, above his vent and above his chest. McCreamy and I thank you

Ok, so I checked him completely out tonight. His breath and mouth are good, no signs of anything there. His crop was firm so I’ll check it in the morning. I also looked at a few other hen ears to compare, he has gunk in his ears, it’s yellowish/whitish and glandular. I did find a few mites in...

Thank you for responding I have not looked in his ears, but based on recommendations from several readers I’m going to check them with a few other hens to compare. He scratches, you can see the damage he is doing to his comb, those scabs are self inflicted. I don’t see any discharge nor mites...

    Shaking head and yawning

I’m not sure if he’s doing it on the roost, but when he’s taking a cat nap, he will jolt to shake his head. I’ll go down and look in a few hens ears. He’s been doing this a little over 3 months. But it’s getting more consistent over time.

    Shaking head

Thank you for responding He keeps scratching his comb and to make it worse I have a few hens that peck at his comb while on the roost and he lets them. I’ve checked for mites, he has none. They are all on a regular schedule for de-worming (SafeGuard). I looked in his throat and it looks good...
