This came running towards me this afternoon- Chirpy was wearing a branch with leaves outback. The stick was stuck through her breast feathers and coming out her side . I just rounded her up into the coop to get the stick loose. She looked crazy!

Thank you so much! I just ran outback and added an old patio chair to the mix of the run. I set it on its side and the mesh seat backs added just the amount of privacy the chicks needed to feel comfortable walking around and getting to a food station. It worked great!

I don't own any ducks, but on the weekends I set up shop at the local farmers market and this duck joined me a few weeks ago on a rainy morning.

Is she free ranging a bit each day? My girls lay more consistently when they get out to wander outback.

My grandma had chickens in her backyard too, and I think that's where my chicken love began. Her's were definitely not named, held and bathed like I do with mine but she cherished them just as much. She had a coop with chickens and doves. Your kids are perfect ages to care for their new pets!

It's raining again this week so I had to come up with some fun for the Little Barn Girls. The new chicks have still been getting use to the Coop with their Big Sisters. Up until today, they mostly hung out in little burrows that they made to stay safe together. They've made a lot of progress...
