I have linoleum on the floor & deep straw. I still get the ammonia smell. I heard pine shavings, is that true? When we had only 4 ladies it wasn’t a problem. Now we have 10 wonderful ladies so I guess it’s only natural for it to smell?

Thank you so much for replying. The Martin attack was the first winter we had them which was not this last one it was November 2016. The 2 that died were actually attacking the Martin as it was coming in. I had no idea how brave they are! If they hadn't I'm sure they all would have been killed...
