Black Copper Marans - Time progression of sexing - UPDATED with WEEKs #1-3 PICTURES
I'm on the fence with this Blue Copper Marans. My other two boys had bigger combs by this age. He's about 5 weeks old. Got my fingers crossed for a pullet, but leaning more towards it being a roo. Have any of you ever had a marans that gave you trouble? Maybe pullets that had large combs.- KSmith0201

Thank you! She is very pretty! I was hoping to find the right roo and breed her next year. If people buy chicks, I want to know what color the hen is. I'm thinking she's a blue, but not too sure!- KSmith0201

This is what is supposed to be BCM. It has fluffy cheeks and feathered feet and white feathers coming in.- KSmith0201

I got some chicks today. Two of them are supposed to be Black copper marans. The lady said the these two yellow ones are BCM. I don't think so. The other three are supposed to be Easter Eggers. Someone straighten me out please!- KSmith0201

This little guy, I have a funny feeling may be a cockrel. His barring is much more pronounced and his coloring, including his feet is a bit lighter than the others. Also the dot on his head isn't as pronounced as the others, it's more blended.- KSmith0201
