Hi All! I’m looking for ideas on how to set up my run for silkies. Specifically roosting bars, dust baths… the aesthetic. Please post pictures of how you made it interesting and sweet for them ♥️ TIA.
One more question… you seem knowledgeable about the little bantams… is it okay for me to have 3 pullets with my one calico rooster? Or should I have more pullets with him? A larger flock? Debating on whether or not to keep him
Ok I uploaded way more pictures than anyone ever needed! But these are the 6 in my bantam coop. I only have one of each in here. No duplicates. Feel like the light grey Cochin and the buff Brahma are pullets. Not sure about the remaining 4. 🙏🏼♥️🙊
I posted another thread here:

Curious about your thoughts on those :)
Last one :)
This is my bantam light Brahma and a blue bantam Cochin. Hen or roo? About 7-8 weeks old. Already pretty sure that calico is a roo!
Thanks so much! You guys are awesome!
Hi - can anyone confirm that this is a pullet? It is 11.5 weeks old. Let me know if you need more full body pics. Her friend wouldn’t move out of the way :) I’m only questioning because its tail feathers are longer than my other LO. A little more red in the comb and wattles too. TIA
I think just my ignorance. I thought maybe those neck feathers were starting to turn into hackles and maybe some saddle feathers happening. This makes me happy. She is definitely more dominant and leads the other girls.
Hi again -
Now I’m trying to figure out if this one is a Hen or Roo. It doesn’t have the black chest like most welsummer roo’s have but I’m still suspicious. These are all pics of just one Welsummer )not multiple birds). 11.5 weeks old. Any ideas?
Hi all - any guesses at gender on these two. Not entirely sure how old. I think the calico bantam is around 6-7 weeks and I think the blue standard Cochin is maybe 7 weeks. TIA
