This coop was made in august of 2009 for me. It has been home to about 4 chickens. Three of which met their demise here.

I've been gone for a while and look how much the thread has grown. WOW it shows the level of creativity and inspiration people have . You all deserve hi fives.
I agree with the above stated method. Is there gonna be anyone at school on the weekend maybe a saturday tutor. If their is ask them if they can go in to the room and turn them for you. Or Take the incubator home on the weekends maybe ?

i just did this. just a thich peice of board for the top wrapped in foil.
all needed was a 3.50 dimmer switch.
i am a master of making incubators. B ut i commend you with all my oudacity i never would have thunk this. I hoope its functional. Its awesome. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now all you need to do is throw some eggs in there.

but you would need a smaller bulb than the regular large ones usd. because of the size. i dont think a fan could fit. Maybe a smallone. a thermomter and some ire. a dimmer switch or thermomter. somw wire and duct tape and you would do it.

hello there. swheat your right. Ifr your water isnt hot enught put in the microwave for two or so minutes until it scolding hot. Dont hurt your self. Can out it it in the trough. It may jolt the temperature up a few degrees but it'll drop after a while. try it.
Well hey there. for a punctured or cracked egg as stated above these are great idaes. A dropof wite glue spreded very thinly over the spot will seal. But what i recomend is to do i smal brush of clear nail polish over it.
