    Broken leg/chicken sling

we ended up putting him down, after watching him closely it was pretty clear that even his good leg was having issues and his bad leg was still ice cold so there was no blood flow getting to it. i think there was an issue with nerves or even his hip/pelvis

    Broken leg/chicken sling

I'm hoping he eventually regains use of his foot....from the joint on his leg down it is limp.....as he recovers a bit I will be making a harness out of old t shirts that will loop on the top and I can hook a dog leash to it and snap the clip on the wire on top so he will essentially be able to...

    Broken leg/chicken sling

So. This 12 week old roo broke a leg after being tackled by my 7month old pup. So our options were cull or try to rehab. ..we first started with a simple splint made of gauze and popsicle stick...however he was essentially laying in his own poop...so my brain got to working and I thought of...

First time broody hen so I gave her a baby ;-)

We've tried to leave her be as much as possible. It's crazy how she just decided one day to plant herself on that nest and not get off. A few days before she was super mean to the dogs. Chasing them and going after them. I haven't had a rooster here in over a year. We have some baby roosters now...
