In the future sex them when they are a day or two old as it is very easy. You will probably begin to see the males develop their unique feathers in the following weeks. Best of luck, I love wild waterfowl!
In the future, vent sex them when they are young, it is quite easy compared to now. From what I know you will just have to wait. Best of luck.

Ultimately they can not share one nest box (sometimes there are exceptions) so you must move one. The real question is, do you want both of them broody, or one? I suppose you do not need two, as one hen can raise several chicks on their own. So what you can do is move one into a temporary broody...
If they are all consistently laying in the same area you can put two nest boxes in that same location. Then, you can put some fake eggs in there to make your ducks think other ducks layed in the nest box. There is no guarantee that it will work, but it is better than not trying. Best of luck...
Do not put him with your adult rooster, it will not end well! I would double check that your rooster is truly infertile before you dispose of him. If you decide to remove your elder rooster, riptide should be easy to add a young rooster into the flock. Make sure you assert your dominance over...
Cool story! Out of curiosity, what breed were the wild chickens or possible escapees? Best of luck, and enjoy the incredible experience of raising chickens!
Forty in one night! I am assuming it buried underneath whatever fence you had. Justin Rhodes on YouTube used electric poultry netting and did not have problems. I would go for it, but am a little concerned that fox could still go under it. Best of luck.
It does seem small, but is big enough for now. My idea is to build off of what you already have planned. Add the little strip of hardware cloth and the angled roof. But, what you can do is have the roof on hinges so that it can completely open during the day. The, underneath the roof you can...

MegRTR,
So it sounds like you are going to have a coup and run with maybe, three to six chickens and let them free range when you are around. Does that sound right! Since you are on a homestead, I am assuming you are doing some type of gardening. I am bringing that up because...
They can not jump over a fence of that height, but they could dig under. I think five feet would work just fine. Make sure you bury six to eight inches of fence underneath the fence to make sure they do not dig. Best of luck.
It sounds like you have a much more predator safe coup, then most actually do. Some people just have electric poultry net surrounding their coup and form a run with it. It is not necessary to elevate the coup. Best of luck.
