I went and bought him to breed with our Delaware hen. The guy told me he was a true Delaware roo but was just muddy from alot of rain we got. But apparently he's not a Delaware so back to the drawing board I go
I took a couole nice clean 5 gallon buckets with lids. And I drilled several holes in them all the way around the side with a 3 inch door hole saw. The chickens have to stick their heads in the holes to eat. Cut down on wasting food 100%
That's possible. I also bought a old english bantam hen from her who had recently had 3 babies. So I'm thinking it was her that was laying and not the silkie. Thanks
I have a silkie bantam and I'm guessing she's around 4 or 5 months old. The lady I bought her from said she had been laying. But she hasn't layed since I've had her. I've had her about 3 or 4 weeks. Any ideas why she hasn't?
I normally get what's there everyday I was just curious if it hurt to wait till the next day. Thanks. Do you have any idea why some days I have 2 or 3 and the next day only have 1 ?
So recently bought some new chickens from a lady who was moving. I got this banni hen and 3 babies 3 weeks old. But she had no idea what kind she was. Any help?
Was just curious. How often should I gather the eggs from the nesting boxes ? Right now we have 3 or 4 chickens that are laying but they all dont lay everyday for some reason and I haven't figured that part out. Thanks
