Can you give Corid with ACV in the water? I gave my guinea keets 1/4 tsp of the liquid Corid in their 1 qt chick waterer for moderate outbreaks. They seem a little sluggish but nothing too bad. I don't have ACV in their water at the moment.
Thank you!
You can give your puppy a small bit of pesto for her trouble. I give it to my horses and my dogs. Just a small amount though maybe a tsp-tbs. Depending on her size.
I was hoping that maybe I had gotten lucky. Oh well, looks like bird number 1 will be going to the cook pot with my RIR roosters. :drool not sure how that will work though. I've never hear of an EE rooster being eaten before.
I purchased two "roosters" from a 10 year old girl who was trying to earn some money for summer vacation. They are NPIP Easter Eggers. Beautiful birds. When I got said birds home I began to notice some very distinct difference between the two.
The first bird is smaller and has virtually no...
I agree! 1st is indeed a rooster, the second is a hen. My Leghorn rooster aka "Foghorn Leghorn " started growing his bright red comb at 7 weeks old. Your birds are very pretty!
I have read through all these posts and i'm thinking that the killing cone and the cut juggular might be the way we will be going, but are you supposed to cut through the wind pipe as well or just the vein?
Believe it or not, exotic vets are hard to find in Florida. I think the closest one is 5 hours away. the breeder, and the experts on this site will probably be my best choice, although I'm going to search for one.
Although I could call them, I just won't be too close to them.
Thank you! I just want to do the very best I can for my little birds. My animals are better taken care of than we are, and I don't want to stop that now. LOL
I'm sure you did a great job! I gotta be honest, the throat cutting part is what I dread the most. I just dont want them to suffer. I want it to be done as quickly as possible. I think my hubby might help me with that part. Boy those chickens sure look yummy! Congrats to your first...
I'm going to be investing in that book! I'm hoping to have 2 of my Roos ready by the 1st of July. Did the 'throat cutting' method work well? Great idea using a soda bottle! I never would have thought of that!
That would be an excellent idea! Maybe you could also turn those charts about healthy peachicks into stickies as well. :)
I'm sorry if I broke the rules some how. I read the stickies, but I figured there might be some mistakes people had made that were typical to "green horns" that I could avoid.
