    Yes I did take a looksie. I have been getting some bad advice from a guy that I thought knew what he was doing. It makes sense now that you explain it that the humidity is so critical to the hatching process. This is my first go round and I don't usually let the hens lay on eggs.

    This is my first time with letting my broody hens hatch and raise. I have two out of 10 eggs hatched and momma is covering them, but will she take them out of the box and teach them to eat and drink? I don't know how long to let her sit on the nest before stepping in to help the hatched ones.

    I think I will let them hatch first so they don't leave the eggs, then move them to a more secluded spot. I have a few freestanding coops with nesting boxes and runs that I can use.
