    Thanks for your thoughts! It's true that I'd worry about rehoming Mochi if he's is a roo. I can put up with the nips but I wouldn't want anyone else to have to, and unfortunately I'm in an area where we can't keep roosters. Fingers crossed that Mochi's a she.

    New chick mom with a mixed flock. I'm suspecting that my silver laced wyandotte is a roo. I know nothing is certain until someone crows or lays and egg, but I'm hoping someone more experienced might be able to weigh in. They're 13 weeks old.

    13 week old mixed flock. The silver laced wyandotte, Mochi, is my suspected roo. She has always been prone to biting and has run at the dogs in defence of the other girls. Without another wyandotte it's hard to know for sure but...she's a rooster, right?
