Ok it's up and moving now, cheeping away and trying to get out of the basket! Full recovery it seems. We are going to put it back under the mother tonight and hopefully that'll be it sorted. Thanks again for or the advice, I'll tell you how it goes tomorrow

Ok we've had it under a lamp for about 6 hours now and fed it a bit of sugar water. It's still cheeping and fidgeting. It is trying to lift its head but hasn't managed to do so yet and it's eyes are still closed. It has been 5 hours so I'm wondering if it's taking longer than usual or if this...

We've just used a normal lamp, but put it quite close to the chick Here's some photos http://imgur.com/a/oac17 Is that ok? I'm worried we might blind it cus it's very close to the lamp and it's very bright

Ok we've got a lamp above it and it's about 95 degrees, however the lamp is very bright and I'm worried I might blind it, is that a risk or should it be ok cus it's eyes are shut?

Thanks PD, I'll try that, the thermometer we have isn't very good but I think it works How long do you think it'll take until the chick is healthy enough to go back to the mother?

We do have a bright UV lamp, we're looking for a thermometer now
