    Worms??

Thanks so much. I was pretty sure that I saw round worms, but the intestinal lining threw me for a loop! I should have seen this coming, as we had a wormy stray cat show up. I wound up going with Wazine so I could just put it in their water. My chickens aren’t pets and there is no way in hell...

    Worms??

I apologize for the poop pic so early in the morning. I’ve seen a few poops that didn’t look quite right. I saw my Barred Rock hen poop this a few minutes ago. It looks like worms to me. What do I do? I’ve never had chicken worms. And will I need to worm the 6 week old chicks and keets and the...

Should 5 week old pullets and keets eat Flock Raiser?

Thank you! I wish I could turn these out to free range with the rest. The adult Guineas have taken to staring at them through the fence. I can’t tell if it’s because they recognize them as Guineas or if it’s because they want to bop them on the head. So they have the whole 10’x20’ grow out pen...

Should 5 week old pullets and keets eat Flock Raiser?

No, I’ve never had a problem. I just didn’t know if they needed medicated to keep it that way. Thank you!

Should 5 week old pullets and keets eat Flock Raiser?

I have 5 week old BA pullets and keets who are currently eating Purina Game Bird Starter which is medicated and has 30% protein. The rest of the flock is eating Flock Raiser with 20% protein. I have hens, Roos, Guineas and 12 week old pullets. They have oyster shell and crushed egg shells, too...

Which is worse, chicks eating poop or eating pine shavings?

Good Morning, I have chicks and keets in a brooder in the house. They hatched 7/31. I have blue pee pads on the bottom of their brooder. A friend came over yesterday, he said that they were eating poop and that I should put shavings down. (For the record, I had just changed their blue pad 30...

I’ve been really pleased and definitely surprised at how good both girls have been. The Guineas were more difficult for them to ignore....all that spastic energy is hard to resist!

Any guesses as to what he might be? The bus was coming to take our unwanted roosters off to freezer camp. So a friend dumped his unwanted roosters in our yard. This one was a sweetheart and he missed the bus. He’s probably about 10 months old now.
