My duckling has not only survived and adapted to his new home but he has gained some tail feathers and gotten fat! lol I let him play in the tub when I got home and he was very happy, made cute little chirrup noises and kept flapping his wings and dunking his head.

His waterer isnt that deep but I did give him a good pan to play in and he can dunk his head in it.

I am leaving town tomorrow for a week, I just bought some niacin capsules 500mg. I will cut it down for his gallon waterer so he is getting it in his diet, I'm setting him up with a big shallow dish of feed and an automated chicken waterer

That brand of food wasn't there :-/ he doesn't seem to know that his food is good....

It is the Dumor brand, I have like pizza dough yeast but I dont think thats what you are talking about probably. I got a waterer and a shallow dish for the food. He is a little more calm today, is there any good ideas for what to keep him in? I have a plastic bin but it seems way too small.

I can get chicken starter that says its safe for ducklings and geese from the tractor supply store along with waterer and feeders, I need to add niacin though??? How much? And yes my porch is fully enclosed.

Thanks so much! And hes in a plastic bin on my back porch, its very warm outside an i have checked up on him every hour or so, hes staying very very warm. I do live near Petco so i can get waterer and feeder from there, they may have duck food, if not I will look elsewhere.

Also is it normal for him to keep trying to hide his head????

The duck is very warm on its own, when I put it down he runs around like crazy! LOL I don't know if it has eaten or drank yet but I know its nervous. It was soaking wet and raining on it when I found it so made sure I dried him up. I just want to know what the best feed is I can get and it needs...

I can show the size in comparison to my hand lol and I have raised chickens before. I am going on a cruise Monday and will be having a friend watch it for me which has me nervous
