We just noticed the back of one of our chickens neck and back were bare. We think the other ones are pecking at her. Has anyone else had this before and what did you do. Or if anyone knows what we can do?
They are all picking on each other but the one has gotten it worse than the others. I have noticed sometimes one of the ducks just stands back and tries not to get into the fight
Just curious but how can you tell if they are drakes? I read something about their Curly tails are more likely to be males but one of them has a more straight tail and not so curly like the others.
I do get they need more room, but for right now that’s the best we can do. We did finally get the...
We have them in a trailer. It has fencing around the sides. And they have plenty of water. There is hay/straw on the bottom and when it gets extremely cold like I’m the negatives they do have a heat lamp from a distance. Corn has just been in their big bowl and hey hardly eat it.. they used to...
We have 4 ducks. I’m not sure how many are males/females. We got them March 2017 and they have been together since, never separated. They live in our pond. Due to the horrible below freezing weather, the pond has frozen and we brought them into the garage and put them in a pin. We only did this...

So far she has been laying every 2-4 days and we believe another one of the hens are starting to lay but we can't figure out which one yet. Can't help but say I feel like a proud chicken mama
We've looked throughout the coop and in their run and nothing.. she's not acting like she was the other day when she laid her first one.. and she's the only one out of 6 that has started to lay.. they are all also only about 4/5 months
You could imagine how excited we were to see one of our chickens lay their first egg.. but that was three days ago and she has not laid one since.. should we be looking for anything or reason why she isn't laying anymore after her first?
Just an update!! Since we put him back into the pond, he is doing excellent. He is walking normal.. maybe the slightest limp, but if you didn't know, you wouldn't be able to tell. They don't really go all the way out in the middle of the pond. They all love watermelon , corn , and peaches.. his...
Today we made the decision to let him out and join his friends.. all wounds looks to be infection free. He does have a limp, but, he has been having fun with his friends all day. They do go in the pond but don't venture off far, they stay pretty close to the land.. he had such a blast today...
I'm really hoping a lot of the dark areas is just the blu kote.. he does have some scans and one that was peeling off after last nights soak and everything looked good
