    Re-homing concerns

    I recently re-homed my backyard flock (6) and am concerned how they will know where their new coop is. Will they wonder off? Has anyone ever heard of chickens trying to find their way back to an original home? My husband laughed his head off when I asked that question. Thoughts?

    my coop is wet - should I clean it out or leave it to dry?

    We just had some heavy rains this afternoon. It's warm out (80+- south Texas) and the pine shavings in the bottom of their coop are wet as well as the run. Do they mind this? Should I put them in the run and clean out the shavings? They are looking at me like "how come we can't come out?"

    Hi, I'm already getting good info about my birds. I did notice that most others use a "name" other than their own name - like "Eggirl" or "old grey mare". when I signed up, I used my name, can I change that? if so, how?

    Introduction

    I just got my first 6 chickens in April. I live in South Texas where it it quite hot right now. (102 today). My coop is in the shade, as well as the run which has a canopy. The chickens are panting a lot and I am concerned.
