wow your set up is amazing.
We have had a peaceful after noon my two new girls Vetra (brown) and Sid (blonde) have settled in with the cock bird Garrus (brown)
Nyx is in the fenced off part and we know now why she's being such a cow she's broody she's just layed two eggs and is sitting on...
haha really so maybe just let them work it out with him and watch for injury, Ive had to take nyx out cause shes getting to nasty with him.
I'm wondering with her gone it might be best to see how they get on with the male with her..... bitchy self
@Dani xxx Thank you I have tried this but I think they need more time. Also the female quails I'm trying to introduce seem terrified of the male. they where kept apart from males till we got them. I know our boys a little rough lover if this a case of they just have to get use to it sorta story?
welp that didn't go to well our male did his 'job' and the other female just attacked them ... i've separated them again for now. maybe not ready just yet.
Ive made sure their enclosure has hiding spots and plenty of room but they weren't happy. Back to the old drawing board.

Oh it doesn't offend at all I enjoy the whole process I would rather eat things I know who have had a happy and healthy life.
They are nicer to handle then chickens in regards it only takes one hand. and they can be great layers once on there way. they start producing eggs around...

And I have only owned my own quail for 3 days but to be honest I have more experience with chickens and birds of prey.
we are aiming to keep for eggs and meat. but my first four are enjoying a pet life style haha.
