4-6 week old chicks- what are they?

They are from Rural King and when I got them the young worker professed he knew nothing about chickens. They had several breeds in each container and there were some photos. But what I thought I was getting isn't what the pictures looked like thus the uncertainty of breed.

4-6 week old chicks- what are they?

Thank you so much for your response! I was thinking the black one might be a roo because of the long tail feathers. I will continue to watch them grow and post pics when they are bigger.

    Too hot??

Thanks! I will check into those other options. I like the idea of not having a bright light all the time to help regulate sleep.

New chicks, not sure what some of them are?

I think the ones with a spot on their head are barred rock. There is supposed to be a sapphire something, easter eggers, and I’m not sure what the other kind was? Anyone know?

    Too hot??

My question: the heat lamp is up about 2 1/2 feet and they range in age from 4 days to 3ish weeks (I think). We are keeping them in the garage. Do they need the heat kamp at all sonce it’s 80 or higher outside? I have it aimed at 1 corner but I don’t want to overheat them.

    I think I have a roo. . .

They are about 14-15 weeks so no eggs yet to help determine. None of them have crowed yet but I'm pretty sure one tried this morning.

    I think I have a roo. . .

I'm not opposed but it was part of the compromise. Now I'm worried I have multiple roosters More pics coming for y'all to help me figure these hens/roosters out!

    I think I have a roo. . .

He's opposed to the crowing. I'm pretty sure this one would be a wonderful rooster if we wanted to breed them but we are just keeping a small flock of layers.

We can but my husband doesn't want a rooster. I'll try to rehome it first.

    I think I have a roo. . .

Well I guess a name change is in order. It was Shirley but now it will be Squiggy. Now what to do with it? Rehome or butcher?
