Where are you getting your info that they are toxic? Doing a Google search on "Are banana peels toxic to chickens" does not seem to turn up anything in the first few pages

Just so you know. Chickens will definitely eat chopped up banana peel. Both my home birds and at the 19th century historical farm where I care for the livestock
